Why in news?

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led ten parties delegation including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (JD), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and others on August 23, 2021,  met PM Narendra Modi to demand caste-based census.
