Why Gupkar alliance is in news?

In October,2020 seven political parties in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) had formed  an alliance, which they called the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration .

These seven parties are National Conference  plasma display panel, Caribbean premier league, communist party of India marxists , PC,  J K P M and Absolute Neutrophil  Count formed the alliance  .

Farooq Abdullah of the NC was elected as the Chairman of the P A G D, while PDP  Mehbooba Mufti was made the Vice-Chairperson.
