Islamic State -Abu al-Hassan al-Qurayshi as new leader
Islamic State has named Abu al-Hassan al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi as its new leader, confirming the death of previous head Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, who was killed by the US in north-western Syria in February 2022.
