Madhya Pradesh ki Paintings

The people of Madhya Pradesh are said to follow the highest flavors of culture and tradition specially in the field of Paintings the  prevailed tribal of the people is noted for its harmonious blend of Buddhists,  Jains Sikhs Christians Hindu and  Muslim.

The prehistoric Paintings-

Bhimbetka is home to some oldest cave paintings. Ten thousand   years ago, these rocks were shelters to the early men, and the men painted on the walls of these rocks.

Overlapping and superimposition of paintings imply that these were used as canvas for art by different people from different periods – from paleolithic period, through the Mesolithic and Chalcolithic periods, right up to early historic to very recent Medieval age.
