During Peshwa …Bajirao-I (1720-1740) the Marathas conquered the areas of M.P .Maratha Empire in India Baji Rao is credited with expanding. reached its zenith later on under reign of Chhatrapati Shahu and Bajirao and he was one of the major contributors in expansion over the Indian subcontinent. In his military career spanning 20 years, Baji Rao never lost a battle.In 1728 ChimanjeeAppa conquered Gwalior.

In 1729 Peshwa controlled. Chhtrasal of Bundelkhand. Chhatrasal assigned a large jagir to Baji Rao and married his daughter Mastani him. .

Mastani (1699–1740 CE) was the daughter of Maharaja Chhatrasal (his Persian concubine Ruhaani Bai Begum) and princess of Bundelkhand, Rajputana and the second wife of the Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I . Her father was the founder of the …..state of Panna
